Consultation Services

Our consultation services offer approachable, expert interior design—on your terms.  In-home and virtual consultations make high-quality design guidance accessible to everyone. No need to commit to full-service design—if you’re looking for inspiration, clarity, and direction during your renovation or decorating project, we’re here to help.

You will meet with founder and creative director, Candace Thompson.  From full gut renovations to simple room refreshes, she will guide you through the many design decisions that can feel overwhelming and expensive.  Floor plans, lighting, finishes, paint colours, furniture—whatever stage you’re at, we simplify the process, help you avoid costly mistakes, and create a space you truly love.  

These services are perfect if you are tackling the majority of the design and project management yourself, but you just need guidance along the way.

Note that these services can be booked multiple times but do not extend beyond the time we spend together.

  • The 90-minute in-home consultation takes place at your home or job site and is driven by your questions and needs.  This service is only available to residents of Toronto, Canada.  See the FAQ below for details on geographic boundaries.

  • The 90-minute virtual design consultation takes place over a video call.  You can share your space in real time via video, or by using the screen-sharing function to show photos, floor plans, and inspiration images.  This service is offered globally. 

  • Our Designer for a Day service is the next level beyond our 90-minute consultation. We’ll spend up to six hours together, giving you a full day of hands-on, expert design guidance. From selecting finishes and furnishings to tackling layout challenges or shopping together, you’ll receive focused, practical support tailored to your project. By the end of the day, you’ll walk away with clear decisions, a cohesive direction, and the confidence to move forward. This service is available only after a standard 90-minute consultation so that we can fully understand your project and make the most of our time together.

How It Works

BOOK

You can book your consultation through our online portal here. At the time of booking, you will upload a short summary of your design project and general questions, along with any photos of your space and/or inspiration images.

THE CONSULTATION

Our consultations are 90 minutes. We meet at your home, job site, or virtually, to discuss your project. Depending on the scope of work, this can involve rearranging furniture, reviewing floor plans and samples, paint colours, discussing new ideas… the list goes on. The time is yours to use as you like.

FOLLOW UP

You are welcome to take notes and photos throughout our time together.  Or if you wish to sit back and listen, we can do the note-taking.  Our Follow Up Guide is an add-on service and provides you with a summary of what we covered, resources, and any additional tips relevant to your project.

EXECUTE

Time for you to put the ideas into action. If you need more guidance, we are here for your next consultation.  Depending on the scale of the project, many clients choose to book multiple consultations at various stages of the job.

  • Preparation can be as minimal or thorough as you feel is necessary to accomplish your goals. Come with questions and topics you’d like to discuss. If you'd like to review samples or plans, have them ready. For video consultations, having photos, plans, products, and/or inspiration images at the ready will make the session more efficient.

  • In-home consultations service residents in Toronto, Canada only. The boundaries are as follows. East: Victoria Park. West: Kipling Ave. South: Lake Ontario. North: Highway 401.

  • All consultation times are displayed in Eastern Time (Toronto). Be sure to double check your timezone when booking!

  • Virtual consultations take place over video call. You can show your space in real time using your device’s camera.  Alternatively, many people find it helpful to gather photos, plans, and/or inspiration images which can be uploaded beforehand or shared during the call via screen share.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling can take place up to 24 hours before the start of your consultation.

  • All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD).
