Frequently Asked Questions

  • Along with achieving the desired aesthetic, we focus on the form and function of a space to ensure it not only looks good but functions seamlessly and enhances the clients’ lifestyle.  Depending on the type and scale of the project, we collaborate with other professionals like architects and contractors to execute the project exactly as envisioned.  As the designer we select all of the finishes for the home (like tile, plumbing, lighting, etc) and furniture.

  • Interior designers focus on the aesthetic vision of a space, selecting finishes like tile, furniture, and fixtures. We also ensure the home flows seamlessly and works to meet the clients’ needs and lifestyle.  We tackle essentially everything related to the interior of the home.  We collaborate with architects, who are experts in the building's structure, and contractors, who execute the design plans crafted by both the architect and designer.

  • As early as possible!  To get the best results, the interior designer should be brought in at the same stage as the architect.  We like to have a collaborative relationship with the architect and while we work in separate zones of genius, each of our work affects the other.  To save time and money, it is best to bring us into the project early.

  • The most important thing to know is that working with an interior designer can be a rewarding, stress-free process.  We can save you from making costly mistakes and save you money in the long run.  In addition to helping you create a beautiful home, we can define the budget and scope of your project. We also have the connections and recommendations to help you hire the right contractors to complete the work. We take on both renovations and new builds but also furnishings and soft good selections.

  • Full service interior design is a comprehensive turn-key service that takes the project from concept to completion.  We take care of every detail – from sourcing items, preparing construction documentation, to working with tradespeople to ensure the project gets executed as planned, and even coordinating orders and deliveries.

  • Each project presents its own unique challenges.  After our initial consultation and comprehensive review of the project goals, we craft a project specific scope of work and proposal. For our consultation services, check out our pricing here.

  • The first step is to complete an inquiry form.  After the inquiry form is received, we’ll contact you to schedule a complimentary phone call to further discuss your project.  If we’re a good fit, we move to an on-site consultation.  During this meeting we’ll review the spaces you’d like to see transformed, explore creative ideas, get to know you and the scope of work, and discuss next steps.  We use this information to craft a proposal unique to your project.  We then present our proposal including our plan for executing the design, budget, and timeline.  If you’d like more information about the rest of the process, check out ‘Our Process’ at the bottom of this page.

  • We present all the details during an in-person presentation.  We provide as many samples as possible, plans and elevations, as well as 3D renderings when required to help you visualize the space.

  • Revisions are a crucial part of the design process and collaborative nature of working together.  We love feedback to ensure we are aligning with your vision.

  • Every project is different and with supply chains and tariffs project timelines have been even harder to predict.  Our furnishing projects are taking around 4-8 months, renovations typically between 8-12 months+ and new build construction projects are always a year or more.  We always encourage prospective clients to reach out as early as possible before the start of a project.  Good design takes time and we like to be fully prepared when construction starts.

  • We offer interior design and renovation services outside of Toronto!  Our process is the same for local or distance work.  Our custom proposal for your project will include out-of-town site visits factored in.  If you are looking for one-time design advice and guidance, you can also consider booking a virtual consultation here.

  • No problem!  We take on projects of all different scales.  Our Partial Home Design or Kitchen and Bath Design services would be a great fit for you.
